Job Overview

The Care and Counseling Officer provides one-on-one support to women seeking sexual and reproductive health services, promoting informed decision-making, autonomy, and holistic care. The role involves counseling on abortion, contraception, and SRHR issues, collaborating with medical staff, maintaining records, and contributing to community outreach and training.

Responsibilities

  • Provide client-centered counseling for abortion care, contraception, and SRHR services.
  • Support clients in understanding options, rights, and follow-up care.
  • Conduct pre- and post-abortion counseling with emotional support.
  • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure holistic care.
  • Maintain confidential and accurate client records.
  • Contribute to educational materials and community outreach activities.
  • Participate in capacity-building and training in SRHR and counseling.
  • Promote a stigma-free, respectful clinic environment.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field.
  • Fluency in Thai; English proficiency is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse cultural and social backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of SRHR issues, abortion, contraception, and gender-based stigma.
  • Experience receiving abortion care or prior counseling experience preferred.
  • Experience in women’s health policy advocacy preferred.
