Job Overview

The Partnership Facilitator serves as the primary liaison to local churches, helping them strengthen ownership, capacity, and resources for child and youth ministry. The role involves building trusting relationships, supporting church-led strategies, and guiding churches through the Partner Management process. This position works independently on moderately complex projects and may provide coaching to other facilitators, ensuring program outcomes are achieved while promoting collaboration among churches in the region.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with pastors, church leaders, and project staff.
  • Foster mutual respect, trust, and service in all interactions; resolve conflicts constructively.
  • Support churches in reflecting on ministry outcomes and planning for growth.
  • Facilitate development of church-owned strategies involving parents, children, and youth.
  • Assist churches in needs assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating child and youth programs.
  • Support churches in creating annual plans and budgets with inclusive participation.
  • Coordinate Church-Facing Team (CFT) support, customizing facilitation workplans.
  • Oversee clusters of churches to promote collaboration, shared learning, and peer support.
  • Ensure churches adopt and implement child protection standards; report and follow up on concerns.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver on partnership and program commitments.

Qualification

  • Committed member of a local church with a passion for children’s ministry.
  • Strong understanding of the Thai-Myanmar border context, church settings, and community issues.
  • Experience with NGOs/INGOs is preferred.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
  • Fluent in Karen and Thai; conversational English; Burmese knowledge is a plus.
  • Willing and able to travel safely along the Myanmar border.
