Job Overview

The Finance Assistant will support the Finance Manager in ensuring effective financial management and compliance with donor, partner, and internal policies. This role involves maintaining accurate accounting records in QuickBooks, preparing financial reports, managing tax submissions, and assisting in day-to-day finance operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a multicultural team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Record all accounting transactions using QuickBooks Online.
  • Prepare and reconcile bank statements with supporting documents.
  • Monitor revenues, payments, receivables, and payables.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations.
  • Prepare and submit monthly and annual tax reports (PND.1, PND.3, PND.53, PND.55).
  • Coordinate with the US Treasurer and Thai auditors as required.
  • Review and verify expense claims in line with Issara procedures.
  • Support monthly expense reconciliation and clearing for staff and consultants.
  • Assist with budget tracking, cash control, and archiving financial documents.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
  • 1–3 years of relevant accounting and finance experience (NGO experience preferred).
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and general accounting procedures.
  • Familiarity with budgeting and internal financial controls.
  • Comfortable using Google Workspace, Slack, and similar tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and meet deadlines.
