Mekong Institute (MI) is an intergovernmental organization dedicated to fostering regional cooperation and integration through capacity development, dialogue, and advocacy to promote sustainable socio-economic development and poverty reduction in the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS). Represented by Cambodia, China, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam, MI aligns its mission with strategic regional frameworks, including the GMS Cooperation Program Strategic Framework 2030, ASEAN Economic Community, and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
MI operates across three primary thematic areas:
Agricultural Development and Commercialization (ADC)
Trade and Investment Facilitation (TIF)

Cross-cutting issues such as social inclusion, digital innovation, and labor mobility are also integrated to ensure holistic, inclusive, and lasting impacts in the region.

The Mekong Sustain Project aims to enhance the ESG performance of SMEs across automotive, textile, and agri-food sectors in Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. The initiative facilitates access to technology, training, financing, and ESG compliance support, strengthening local companies’ ability to integrate into global supply chains while lowering carbon footprints.

Payment Modality:

Governance:
The coordinator will operate under the strategic direction of MI, ensuring no misrepresentation of authority. Coordination must adhere to internal reporting mechanisms, with all decisions, partnerships, and communication subject to MI's final approval.
