Job Overview

Child’s Dream is seeking a Regional Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist to support programme management, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), and capacity building across its operations. The role is central to enhancing project quality, impact measurement, and learning across the region.

Responsibilities

Regional Programme Management Support

  • Assist in designing and implementing M&E plans
  • Guide country PME focal points and teams in using programme cycle tools
  • Advise on programme strategies and management
  • Contribute to PME department’s strategy reviews
  • Help prepare impact reports for marketing and communications

Monitoring and Evaluation Support

  • Develop and enhance M&E tools (e.g., surveys, checklists)
  • Support country teams with M&E plans and implementation
  • Collect, analyze, and consolidate qualitative and quantitative evaluation data
  • Manage internal evaluations and provide data-driven feedback and recommendations

Capacity Building

  • Conduct on-the-job training and knowledge-sharing sessions
  • Build staff capacity in core M&E concepts and frameworks

Qualification

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • At least 5 years of experience in M&E within NGOs
  • Strong knowledge of Project Cycle Management (PCM)
  • Experience in designing M&E plans and tools, reporting, and training delivery
  • Familiarity with cross-country and partner-led projects is a plus

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SPSS, STATA, Python)
  • Familiarity with training tools related to M&E and project management
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills

Soft Skills

  • Excellent organizational and coordination abilities
  • Critical thinking and interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication, including cross-cultural sensitivity
  • Ability to provide effective training and constructive feedback

Language

  • Advanced English (spoken and written)

Travel Requirements

  • Willingness to travel to country offices regularly
