The Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) promotes and protects human rights globally. The OHCHR Myanmar Team monitors and reports on the human rights situation in Myanmar, offering advocacy, capacity building, and protection for civil society and marginalized groups. The office operates under UN Human Rights Council mandates and is a full member of the UN Country Team in Yangon.
The Human Rights Research Associate will support OHCHR's Myanmar Team based in Bangkok. The role focuses on human rights monitoring, data analysis, report writing, advocacy, and capacity-building efforts concerning the Myanmar crisis. This position involves close collaboration with human rights officers, potential field missions, and daily interaction with the team.
