Job Overview

The Senior Administrative Officer will provide leadership and coordination for administrative services at the FAO Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific (RAP) in Bangkok. The role includes oversight of human resources, finance, planning, and operations across regional and subregional offices.

Responsibilities

  • Advise senior leadership on administrative and resource planning
  • Oversee budget preparation, fund monitoring, and financial reporting
  • Ensure efficient office operations and security compliance
  • Lead human resource planning and performance management
  • Support regional conferences and inter-agency coordination
  • Liaise with internal/external auditors and manage audit responses
  • Provide guidance and operational support to country offices
  • Drive risk management and internal control processes
  • Promote coordination and capacity building among regional offices

Qualification

  • Proven leadership in administration across multiple geographic locations
  • Strong background in finance, HR, planning, and program implementation
  • Experience with large international or intergovernmental organizations
  • Strong strategic thinking, communication, and team leadership skills
  • Familiarity with UN administrative systems and audit compliance is an asset
