Job Overview

The Program Officer will support the coordination, management, and implementation of health and development projects. Reporting to the Senior Program Manager, the role involves collaborating with Thai institutions, local stakeholders, and implementing partners to ensure projects meet objectives efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Support project planning, coordination, and implementation.
  • Assist Senior Program Manager in partner engagement, monitoring progress, and budget management.
  • Provide technical, logistical, and grant management support.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and partners.
  • Monitor project performance and ensure targets are met.
  • Travel as needed (up to 50% of work time) and adapt to variable working hours.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health, Public Health, Community Health, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in health projects or related roles.
  • Strong English skills; knowledge of Karen or Burmese is a plus.
  • Experience working in multicultural and low-resource settings.
  • Familiarity with Thai institutions, foundations, or border-based organizations.
  • Strong understanding of local cultural and political contexts.
  • Excellent presentation, writing, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
