Job Overview

The Partnership Facilitator serves as Compassion’s primary liaison with local church partners along the Thai-Myanmar border. This role focuses on building strong, trust-based relationships with churches, empowering them to lead effective child and youth ministries, strengthening their ownership and capacity, and ensuring program success through collaboration and resource mobilization.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main contact for local church partners, fostering trust, respect, and collaboration.
  • Strengthen church capacity and ownership through partnership management and developmental approaches.
  • Support churches in planning, implementing, and evaluating child and youth programs.
  • Mobilize and coordinate Church Facing Team (CFT) members to meet church partner needs.
  • Facilitate church adoption of child protection standards and practices.
  • Oversee cluster operations, promoting collaboration and peer-to-peer learning among churches.
  • Assist in mobilizing local resources and encouraging alliances to maximize ministry impact.
  • Ensure timely renewal of partnership agreements with church partners.
  • Advocate for child protection and report concerns following Compassion’s policies.

Qualification

  • Member of a local church with passion for serving children and church ministries.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent training/experience.
  • Experience working with NGOs/INGOs in Thai-Myanmar border context preferred.
  • Strong understanding of church and community issues in the region.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in Thai and Karen; English is an advantage.

Additional Note

This role requires frequent travel, up to 50% of the time, across assigned provinces. Candidates with Karen language skills and cultural familiarity will have an added advantage.
