Job Overview

The Communications Manager will lead all communications for Manushya Foundation, ensuring impactful and inclusive messaging across all platforms. This role will support advocacy, campaigns, and storytelling efforts to strengthen the foundation’s voice and visibility. The position reports to the Founder and Executive Director and collaborates closely with the program team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic communication plans.
  • Lead campaign and advocacy communications.
  • Produce and manage content (blogs, social media, newsletters, press releases).
  • Coordinate multimedia production (graphics, videos, toolkits).
  • Manage media relations and draft press materials.
  • Maintain and grow digital presence across platforms.
  • Monitor analytics and optimize digital content.
  • Manage and update the organization’s website.
  • Organize and support online and live events.
  • Ensure brand consistency and train staff on communications best practices.
  • Support internal communications and team alignment.
  • Handle other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Qualification

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in communications.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills in English.
  • Experience in social media management, content creation, and media relations.
  • Proficient in design and content tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite), CMS (WordPress), and scheduling tools (e.g., Buffer, Metricool).
  • Commitment to feminist and decolonial values.

  • Creative, organized, and adaptable.
  • Independent and collaborative mindset.
  • Familiarity with Southeast Asian political/social issues.
  • Prior work with marginalized communities.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours.
