Job Overview

WWF Thailand seeks a qualified consultant team to support the Community Forest Management Planning (CFMP) process under the Forest Forward Project. The consultancy involves facilitating and supporting 11 community forests in Tak and Nakhon Phanom provinces to develop comprehensive and participatory forest management plans aligned with national legislation and biodiversity conservation frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct planning workshops and coordinate with WWF Thailand staff.
  • Compile social and community data to support CFM planning.
  • Develop and deliver training curriculum on participatory CF assessment.
  • Coach community forest committees in conducting assessments and preparing reports.
  • Facilitate data analysis and CFM planning workshops.
  • Support drafting of Community Forest Management Plans for each target site.

Qualification

  • Proven expertise in community-based forest and natural resource management.
  • Strong understanding of Thailand's Community Forest Act B.E.2562 and relevant conservation policies (e.g., OECMs, 30x30 targets).
  • Experience in facilitating participatory processes and drafting forest management plans.
  • Ability to integrate scientific and local knowledge in forest planning.
