Established in 2010, it builds on the work of four UN bodies, focusing on eliminating discrimination, advancing women’s rights, and fostering equality worldwide. In Asia-Pacific, UN Women prioritizes ending violence against women through advocacy, partnerships, and program implementation.
The Regional Coordination and Communications Specialist will support UN Women’s efforts to end violence against women in Asia-Pacific. The role involves coordinating with UN agencies, governments, and civil society partners; leading communications and advocacy campaigns; managing knowledge-sharing; and ensuring donor visibility. The Specialist will also support flagship projects such as the EU-funded PROTECT Project and the UN Joint Programme on GBV Prevention in Southeast Asia.
