UN Women is the UN entity dedicated to gender equality and women’s empowerment. Established in 2010, it builds on the work of four UN bodies, focusing on eliminating discrimination, advancing women’s rights, and fostering equality worldwide. In Asia-Pacific, UN Women prioritizes ending violence against women through advocacy, partnerships, and program implementation.
The Regional Coordination and Communications Specialist will support UN Women’s efforts to end violence against women in Asia-Pacific. The role involves coordinating with UN agencies, governments, and civil society partners; leading communications and advocacy campaigns; managing knowledge-sharing; and ensuring donor visibility. The Specialist will also support flagship projects such as the EU-funded PROTECT Project and the UN Joint Programme on GBV Prevention in Southeast Asia.
