Job Overview

UNESCO Bangkok seeks an experienced senior-level consultant to design and lead a four-hour, in-person skills-building workshop during the Regional Forum on Transforming Teachers and Teaching for Adolescent Health, Well-being, and Gender Equality (23–25 September 2025, Bangkok). The consultant will provide strategic direction, technical leadership, and immersive training aligned with one of six thematic workshop areas.

Responsibilities

Before the Workshop

  • Participate in online preparatory meetings to align with Forum objectives.
  • Advise UNESCO on thematic scope and delivery approach.
  • Develop a detailed, inclusive workshop implementation plan.
  • Prepare and submit finalized agenda, materials, and feedback tools.
  • Attend an in-person final preparation meeting in Bangkok.

During the Workshop

  • Deliver the workshop independently, engaging 35–40 participants.
  • Apply gender-transformative, participatory, and inclusive teaching methods.
  • Facilitate multi-stakeholder and multi-generational exchanges.

After the Workshop

  • Submit finalized workshop package.
  • Provide an analytical summary report (max. 4 pages) on outcomes, feedback, and recommendations.

Qualification

Required:

  • Advanced university degree in relevant field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in teacher education, CSE, gender equality, or related areas.
  • Proven ability to design and facilitate participatory workshops for diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong subject matter expertise in adolescent well-being, gender-transformative education, and inclusive pedagogy.
  • Excellent communication skills for specialist and non-specialist audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and remote communication tools.

Desirable:

  • Understanding of UNESCO’s education programmes.
  • Experience in Southeast Asia or South Asia.
  • Previous collaboration with UN agencies or development partners.
