Job Overview

Position: Logistics Manager

Location: Based in Mae Sariang with field visits as per project needs

Department: Logistics and Supply

Reports to (Hierarchical): Project Coordinator

Reports to (Functional): Logistics Coordinator

Supervises: Logistics Supervisor, WATSAN Supervisor, Supply Supervisor

Contract Type: 1-year renewable (3-month probation)

Salary: 58,480 THB gross/month (non-negotiable) + 13th month salary

Start Date: As soon as possible

The Logistics Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring all logistics-related activities within the project to ensure efficient support to medical operations. The role also involves providing technical and managerial guidance to the logistics team, contributing to project planning, and ensuring compliance with DWBT standards and security protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Coordinator in identifying and responding to the logistical needs of the targeted population.
  • Oversee all technical and logistical operations including construction, transport, communication, water and sanitation, vehicles, infrastructure, and equipment.
  • Ensure the implementation and monitoring of supply chain activities and water, hygiene, and sanitation (WATSAN) operations.
  • Manage administrative logistics-related matters such as orders, contracts, and insurance.
  • Collaborate with HR and relevant coordinators in recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of logistics staff.
  • Serve as the technical reference for logistics issues and coach staff accordingly.
  • Ensure proper use and briefing on communication tools and systems for project staff.
  • Develop and monitor technical components of risk reduction, security, transport, and contingency plans.
  • Participate in the monthly reporting and project coordination meetings.
  • Contribute to annual and monthly planning and budgeting processes.
  • Maintain regular field visits to ensure effective implementation of logistics strategies.

Qualification

  • Education: Essential secondary education. A technical diploma or university degree (preferably in engineering) is highly desirable.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2 years' experience in logistics-related activities.
    • Previous NGO or DWBT experience and/or experience in developing countries is desirable.
    • Advantageous to have experience in security management and WATSAN in humanitarian settings.
  • Languages:
    • Essential: English and Thai.
    • Desirable: Local languages such as Kayah, Karen, or Burmese.
  • Skills & Competencies:
