Job Overview

The Program Manager ensures TLHR has the necessary funding and resources to operate effectively. This role involves designing and implementing programs, fundraising, donor relations, grant management, and supporting the organization’s overall strategic goals. The Program Manager reports directly to the Deputy Director of Program and Finance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of grant proposals and funding applications in compliance with donor guidelines.
  • Oversee narrative and financial reporting to donors, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Review and monitor grant agreements for compliance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with donors, providing updates on TLHR’s work.
  • Identify and pursue new funding opportunities.
  • Create a fundraising strategy, including approaches for unrestricted funding.
  • Manage program performance, conduct project kick-offs, and monitor progress.
  • Develop communication materials and manage the organization’s media presence.
  • Act as the main point of contact for donors and coordinate fundraising events.
  • Represent TLHR in meetings with stakeholders, partners, and the media.
  • Provide coaching and development for program staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including occasional travel or calls outside working hours.

Qualification

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Development Studies, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in grants management, program design, and proposal development.
  • Strong financial planning and budget oversight skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and writing abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, digital communication tools, and basic design or website management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Commitment to human rights, democracy, and rule of law.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in challenging environments.

Desired:

  • Experience in legal aid or human rights projects in Thailand.
  • Experience working with international donors or embassies.
  • Background in implementing human rights and fundraising initiatives.
