Job Overview

The Project Coordinator will lead the planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of a project aimed at strengthening governance and inclusivity in community-based mangrove management in Southern Thailand. The role includes stakeholder coordination, fieldwork, advocacy, and capacity-building, with a strong focus on gender equality and youth engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee detailed work plans, budgets, and monitoring frameworks.
  • Coordinate project activities with government agencies, CSOs, and local communities.
  • Facilitate capacity-building and stakeholder meetings ensuring inclusivity.
  • Manage research components and supervise project staff.
  • Track project progress, expenditures, and ensure donor compliance.
  • Prepare reports (narrative and financial) for stakeholders and donors.
  • Build partnerships and networks to support project objectives.
  • Represent RECOFTC in meetings, events, and advocacy activities.
  • Document project results and support communications efforts.

Qualification

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing natural resource projects.
  • Strong knowledge of mangrove conservation policies in Thailand.
  • Proven skills in gender equality and social inclusion in project work.
  • Experience engaging diverse stakeholders, including communities.
  • Proficient in Thai and English with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently within Thailand.
  • Thai nationality.

Desirable:

  • Master’s degree in relevant field.
  • Knowledge of project management databases and MEL tools.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
