Job Overview

The Regional Advisor for Research, Evidence, and Impact will lead research and evidence-generation efforts across the East Asia Region. The role involves supporting Field Offices, regional teams, and external partners to prioritize and implement impactful research aligned with World Vision’s strategy and advocacy goals. The advisor will also represent World Vision in key forums and foster partnerships with donors, academic institutions, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and advise on research and evidence strategies in the East Asia Region.
  • Align research agendas with organizational strategy and external engagement plans.
  • Support Field Offices in research design, tool development, and ethical standards.
  • Analyze regional program data to assess and communicate impact.
  • Represent World Vision in technical working groups and research forums.
  • Build partnerships with academic institutions, think tanks, and donors.
  • Contribute to evidence-based advocacy and storytelling initiatives.

Qualification

  • At least 5 years of experience in applied research, including qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Strong knowledge of research design, sampling, tool development, and ethics.
  • Experience in policy analysis, impact evaluation, and program data interpretation.
  • Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., STATA, R, SPSS).
  • Ability to engage with donors, UN agencies, and research institutions.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting complex research clearly.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of a regional language is a plus.
