Senior Marketing and Communications Officer

Job Overview

The Senior Marketing and Communications Officer will lead APCOM’s marketing and communications initiatives, focusing on resource mobilisation, promoting the organization’s work, and developing compelling narratives about its impact. The role includes managing the marketing team, securing sponsorships, and supporting income generation initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement creative, cost-effective marketing strategies for events, trainings, consultancies, reports, and other products.
  • Ensure timely delivery of marketing strategies and campaigns within budget.
  • Manage and supervise the Marketing and Communications Unit.
  • Secure sponsorship for flagship events such as the HERO Awards Gala, LGBTQI Biz Forum, Community Summit, TestBKK, and Thailand Pride Festival.
  • Develop other revenue avenues, including resource mobilisation campaigns and merchandise.
  • Create compelling stories about APCOM’s work and impact.
  • Collaborate with program staff to ensure timely inputs for marketing efforts.
  • Use research and data analysis to inform marketing strategies and track performance indicators.
  • Evaluate marketing activities and report performance to the Executive Director.
  • Lead media relations and PR initiatives alongside the Executive Director.
  • Write and proofread copy for online platforms, press releases, brochures, and other materials.
  • Represent APCOM at events, conferences, seminars, and exhibitions.
  • Build relationships with community organizations, activists, donors, sponsors, and allies.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the Executive Director or management.

Qualification

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of professional development in marketing or communications.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing marketing and communications plans.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in Thai and English.
  • Track record of securing funds from private/public sectors, high-net-worth individuals, or the general public.

Desirable:

  • NGO experience aligned with APCOM’s vision and mission.
  • Skills in digital marketing, public relations, and social marketing/behaviour change.
  • Line management experience.

Skills:

  • Strong presentation, organizational, and copywriting skills.
  • Creative, innovative, and results-oriented.
  • Resilient, confident, and able to work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong team player capable of independent work.
