The Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Centre for STEM Education (SEAMEO STEM-ED) is a regional intergovernmental body hosted by the Government of Thailand. It aims to strengthen STEM education capacity across Southeast Asia through collaboration with SEAMEO member and affiliate countries, public and private institutions, and non-profit educational stakeholders.
Position Title: Specialist
Category/Grade: General Service, G4 or above
Term: Three years, renewable
The Specialist will support the Programme Development team in implementing regional STEM education initiatives, ensuring smooth programme operations, stakeholder engagement, and alignment with strategic objectives.
Plan and implement evidence-based STEM programmes
Coordinate with stakeholders including SEAMEO bodies, government institutions, schools, and private sector partners
Manage project operations, monitor progress, and ensure budget and reporting integrity
Support communications, fundraising, policy advocacy, and documentation of best practices
Represent SEAMEO STEM-ED at meetings and conferences
Foster team collaboration and effective problem-solving
Thai national with a Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field
At least 7 years of relevant experience in STEM education programmes
Strong interpersonal, project management, and communication skills in Thai and English
Experience in stakeholder engagement, digital tools, risk management, and multicultural team settings
