Job Overview

FHI 360’s EpiC project is seeking a consultant to support youth engagement and the usability testing of a digital platform aimed at improving HIV service access among young people. The consultant will help coordinate youth participation, develop tailored HIV instructional materials, and lead usability testing of the “TestMeNow V12” platform.

Responsibilities

Youth Engagement & Coordination

  • Recruit at least 3 diverse youth participants for a partner workshop
  • Conduct pre-workshop orientation sessions
  • Coordinate logistics and facilitate youth-led sessions
  • Document youth input and summarize feedback

Development of Youth-Tailored HIV Instructional Materials

  • Design 8 instructional materials on HIV topics (e.g., HIVST, U=U, MMD)
  • Ensure materials are youth-friendly and culturally appropriate
  • Collaborate with youth and technical advisors for feedback and validation
  • Finalize materials for digital or outreach dissemination

Usability Testing of TestMeNow V12 Platform

  • Recruit at least 6 youth participants with varied backgrounds
  • Develop and execute a usability testing protocol
  • Facilitate testing sessions and gather feedback
  • Analyze results and prepare a detailed report with recommendations

Final Deliverables

  • Youth Engagement Summary Report
  • 8 finalized youth-focused HIV instructional materials
  • Usability Testing Protocol and Report with raw data summary

Qualification

  • Proven experience engaging adolescents or youth in public health or HIV-related work
  • Strong understanding of HIV testing and care strategies (HIVST, U=U, MMD)
  • Ability to engage respectfully and effectively with young people
  • Experience designing youth-friendly educational materials
  • Strong facilitation, organizational, and report-writing skills
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and youth protection standards
