Senior Programme Officer

Job Overview

The Senior Programme Officer (STI Coordination) will be responsible for coordinating and implementing STI-focused initiatives between ASEAN and Japan. This includes organizing major symposiums, managing training and research programs, and leading the development of a knowledge-sharing platform to support regional STI collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate ASEAN-Japan STI Coordination Symposiums (2025 and 2026)
  • Plan and implement training, internship programs, seminars, and symposiums
  • Provide pre-award support for joint research proposals
  • Monitor and evaluate project activities using tools such as surveys and log frames
  • Manage financial reporting and monitor fund usage
  • Lead development of an open knowledge-sharing portal
  • Collaborate with external partners and vendors
  • Develop PR strategies to promote project visibility
  • Maintain organized documentation and project records

Qualification

Essential:

  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience in research, education, or relevant sectors
  • Leadership experience in managing teams or projects
  • Strong financial management and numeracy skills
  • Proven skills in M&E, stakeholder coordination, and international collaboration
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in multicultural environments

Desirable:

  • Background in STI or regional cooperation projects
  • Experience with data/information management
  • Familiarity with website design and content management
